The Energy Zones Mapping Tool currently includes the 408 Geographic Information System (GIS) data layers listed below. Over time, data layers will be added, updated, and removed. The GIS layers are compiled from a variety of sources for the purpose of screening-level analysis, and each has a limit to the scale, currency, and accuracy of the data.

		Focal Areas of Conservation Significance	Ecology	The Nature Conservancy
		Abstract: Displays a nuanced picture of the places where conservation is most likely to succeed over centuries. The project had parts: 1) identifying and mapping the geophysical settings, 2) developing a quantitative estimate of resilience for each setting based on landscape complexity and permeability, and 3) identifying key linkages that may be important in facilitating climate-induced regional movements. The final products include the identification of sites with high or low estimated resilience and overlays of these sites with the The Nature Conservancy (TNC) portfolio of important biodiversity sites. The products were presented in an ecoregional context, highlighting sites with the highest estimated resilience for each setting within each ecoregion. 		Farmland Productivity, Versatility, and Resiliency	Land Status	Conservation Science Partners/American Farmland Trust
		Abstract: This layer shows PVR values on agricultural land. The PVR index is the first-ever assessment of agricultural land quality that explicitly accounts for productivity, versatility, and resiliency. Higher PVR values indicate higher suitability for long-term, intensive crop production, especially for food crops such as fruits, nuts, vegetables, and staple grains.
