Abstract:
Display Conservation Areas in Alabama. Conservation Areas are the coarse representation of areas important to preserve viable populations of the elements of biological diversity important to the ecoregion. These areas were identified through the Ecoregional Planning process with teams of experts by ecoregion.

Abstract:
This dataset provides a vision for conservation success for ecosystems, natural communities and species representative of an ecoregion by showing the boundaries of areas that The Nature Conservancy has prioritized for conservation. Many portfolio areas were derived from Ecoregional Assessments, but other priorities derived using other planning methodologies are included in this global dataset.

Abstract:
This layer was created as part of the green infrastructure network design being developed for the Midwest Wind Energy Multi-Species Habitat Conservation Plan (MSHCP) Section 6 grant project. As part of The Conservation Fund's (The Fund) Section 6 grant scope of work, The Fund supported the design and coordination of a consistent and effective mitigation approach across USFWS Region 3 in partnership with the States, American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), and USFWS. The Fund utilized a green infrastructure approach that will help AWEA and the States integrate species habitat mitigation within the context of an interconnected network of lands and waters, providing multiple benefits across the entire range of AWEA member activities in the eight affected states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Such an approach will also ensure a consistent methodology is used to determine selection of mitigation projects. The methodology employed in this process has been accepted by the 8 states participating states in the process.

Abstract:
This dataset was developed as part of a Conservation Network design by The Conservation Fund for the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. The Fund utilized a green infrastructure approach that will help WVDNR integrate management of habitat for Species of Greatest Conservation Need within the context of an interconnected network of lands and waters, providing multiple benefits across the state. In order to establish the Network, digital datasets were created that represent core undisturbed habitats for forest, wetland, grassland, and aquatic areas. Corridors connecting forest, wetland, and aquatic areas were delineated to complete the Network.
